Burkina Faso And Ghana

Sindou Peaks

This is the view from the piste that runs past the Sindou Peaks. To me these strange rock formations looked like stacks of old tyres of all sizes.

The Road From Bobo To Bromo

This is the road just as you leave Bobo and head North East towards Bromo and Ouagadougou.

View From Camp Le Kaicedra

This was the view from the terrace of the camp on the edge of the Parc National Des Deux Bales. I had quite a adventure to find the camp as there are no real signs for the place.

Village East Of Bolgatanga, Ghana

This is one of the first really traditional looking villages I saw in the North of Ghana. The buildings are in a circle and have a compound in the middle. The crops then surround the village in the near by fields.

Piste From Bawku To Yedi

A lot of the main piste in the area appeared to be graded and well maintained.

Bridge Building Crew

This was the group of locals who helped me to build a little bridge to cover the subsided section of road. As the road that was left was not wide enough for the Landy to pass.

The View From The Escarpment Near Nakpanduir

This was shortly after I crossed the White Volta River which runs the length of the escarpment.

The Piste From Yedi To Senchi

This picture was taken near the Akwapim Togo Range of mountains on the Ghana, Togo border, which can be seen in the background.

View North From Aylos Bay

Aylos Bay is a great place to chill out for a few days. The river is safe to swim and you can go visit the Akosombo Dam near by, which holds back the largest artificle lake in the world.

View South From Aylos Bay
