This was the last stretch of beach along my walk, which took me 3 hours. I passed through many villages along the way as well as a few failed attempts at beach resorts.
As I was walking back, in one of the villages the boats had just returned with the days catch and I spotted these two monsters on the beach.
This is where many slaves would have left Ghana on there way to one of many places in the Americas.
The Castle was certainly well armed, with many cannon, large and small. Some of which can be seen along the battlements.
The Castle also has a large number of rooms where the colonial masters would have worked and lived.
You couldn’t guess what his guy does for a living.
Whilst I was in Cape Coast I stocked up of fresh fruit and veg as there was a good market in the back streets.
Not the best weather for the beach, but the company of other travellers made the soggy days go quicker.
A popular place to hang out for many travellers. With a good restaurant and nice beach you could see why.
This is why you need to take a backpack to the bank when getting out money.
