One of the reasons I kept coming back to Big Milly’s was this nice stretch of beach. You can see one of the fleets of fishing boats that operate from the beach. They drop the nets out at sea using the boats and then pull the nets into the beach by hand.
On the other side there is enough clean sand to chill out and relax, and go swimming. But be careful of the currents, as some have some have discovered to the embarrassment and cost.
This is one of the many cute cats that where around Big Milly’s. This one had seamed to have adopted us, sitting on our gear and enjoying the attention we gave it.
Ben and Steve had drive down from the U.K. Steve flew home from Ghana and Ben carried on to Lagos to meet his Girlfriend and then they will continue their trip to South Africa in a few months.
One of my favourite bars to hang out at in Accra. As there is a good atmosphere, people to meet and cheap beer.
This is the main street in Osu, an area in Accra. There are many restaurants, bars and shops in the area. So much so the locals call it Oxford Street.
This is another good place to hang out in Accra. I nice place with a friendly owner, also popular with the expat crowd, and good for watching any major sporting events.
I good place to get a meal, as it is well priced and you get big portions.
Henry I first ran into when I was in Togo with Verena. He and his wife are also overlanding their way to South Africa.
