Morocco And Mauritania

Casablanca Mosque

It is hard to get a sense of scale, but this building is massive.

Old Back Street

Campsite North Of Agadir

This was a nice spot we found for our campsite. The wild mussles on the rocks made a nice starter for dinner.

The View From Campsite North Of Agadir

View From Beach Side Campsite

This was the view from our campsite just North of Agadir. We spent the day chilling here while we waited for the Landy grease to be shipped down.

Casade Falls

These were the falls we visited in the mountains north of Agadir.

Sunset At Camp

This was taken just outside El Quatia, were we camped for the night.

The Ones That Didn't Make It!

Just a little further!

Are we there yet?

Following Tracks To Nouadhibou

Ship Graveyard

One of the many rusting hulks in the ships graveyard.

Nouadhibou Fish Market

No Roads

This was taken shortly after we left the piste we were following, on our way to the National Park, as it was not going in the direction we wanted.

The Landies

We had resorted to following a bearing to the entrance of the National Park in Mauritania.

Follow My Leader

The soft sand made it hard going in places.

The Dutch Courage Landy

The Campsite In The National Park

We were catch out when the blokes who ran the site said to just go pick one of the tents to stay in. As late that evening, you found out it was expensive. Which was a cheek as there were no working toilets or any other facilities. In fact you are far better off staying out in the desert somewhere, for free.

My Landy On The Move

These were taken as we were driving along the main piste running through the National Park.

Beach To Nouakchott

These where the boats the fishermen where using from the beach.

Driving along a 90Km Beach

This was the beach you had to drive along to reach Nouakchott. The first section was fast, as we were driving on hard sand. But the later stages were hard going, when the sand got very soft. Also you had to keep an eye out for the archers of the fishing boats, stuck in the beach.

The Village Of Terjit

This was the village that we stopped the night at just short of Atar.

Terjit Oasis

This looks like it could be straight out of a film.

Mirjam, Matt and Me

Terjit Campsite

The night we spent here was really hot and sticky. I had a shower at 21:00 and was dry in 20 min, as it was still 35C.
