It is hard to get a sense of scale, but this building is massive.
Looking up the high street of Essaouira.
This was a nice spot we found for our campsite. The wild mussles on the rocks made a nice starter for dinner.
This was the view from our campsite just North of Agadir. We spent the day chilling here while we waited for the Landy grease to be shipped down.
These were the falls we visited in the mountains north of Agadir.
This was taken just outside El Quatia, were we camped for the night.
One of the many rusting hulks in the ships graveyard.
This was taken shortly after we left the piste we were following, on our way to the National Park, as it was not going in the direction we wanted.
We had resorted to following a bearing to the entrance of the National Park in Mauritania.
The soft sand made it hard going in places.
We were catch out when the blokes who ran the site said to just go pick one of the tents to stay in. As late that evening, you found out it was expensive. These were taken as we were driving along the main piste running through the National Park.
These where the boats the fishermen where using from the beach.
This was the beach you had to drive along to reach Nouakchott. The first section was fast, as we were driving on hard sand. But the later stages were hard going, when the sand got very soft. Also you had to keep an eye out for the archers of the fishing boats, stuck in the beach.
This was the village that we stopped the night at just short of Atar.
This looks like it could be straight out of a film.
The night we spent here was really hot and sticky. I had a shower at 21:00 and was dry in 20 min, as it was still 35C.
